Update

It has been too long, since I have last posted.  Here is an update of the last month:

Jaala and I traveled to Wisconsin, first to see some college friends and then to see my family.  We really had fun with Dana's family (a friend from college).  She has a new bundle of joy too, Nora, and we had a lot of fun shopping, hanging out, and enjoying each other.  Jaala loved Dana's cats and started saying cat for the first time, during our visit.

My mom and step-dad just loved seeing and playing with Jaala again, Jaala was super loving my step-dad, Tim, and they had a lot of fun playing together.  Of course, she loved her Grandma so much too!

My brother and sister-in-law had their first baby boy, James Robert Process, named after my dad.  He was 8lbs 302 and 21 1/2 inches long.  He is super sweet, and looks a lot like my brother.  Welcome JR to the world, we love you so much and miss you too!  I love being an aunt!

After coming home from Wisconsin, Jaala, went trick-or-treating for the first time, she loved getting candy and putting it in her bag.  She was a little Piglet, so fun!

Matthew is looking for internships, he found a couple treatment facilities, he wants to intern at, so we are hoping they will work out for him.  He only has three classes left, and his internships, a long waited home streach for us!!!

We are preparing to leave in about a month to Germany!  VERY EXCITED!!!  Christmas in Germany!

Here are a list of words Jaala can say now:
  • momma
  • dadda
  • hi
  • bye
  • cat
  • ball
  • wow
  • grandma
  • grandpa
  • dog sound
  • duck sound
  • bee sound
  • sock
  • shoe
  • uh-oh
  • banana
  • water
  • she can also point to her nose (we are working on learning body parts)

Piglet

Sometimes I wonder if Jaala can get any sweeter or more beautiful, but then I remember, everyday, it happens, and she becomes more sweet and beautiful in my eyes!

Brown Palace

Adrianne and Rachel
Our setting
Desserts and finger sandwiches
Scones
Adrianne, Rachel, and I went to the Brown Palace, a historic hotel, in Denver.  We had high tea, desserts, finger sandwiches, and scones.  It was such a blessing to have great conversation and a lot of fun.  The hotel is 117 years old and was very elaborate.  I hope to do it again before we leave the area.

Lingerie.

I was getting ready one day, and Jaala found a priceless piece of dress up, my lingerie.  She enjoyed playing "dress up"  and we quickly removed it before the neighbors started talking. She is too funny!

Happy Apple Farm

We were trying to pick our own apples, but the frost from April, froze the crops, so we went pumpkin pickin' instead.  It was still a lot of fun!

Pig Tails, plus four

Chocolate Puddin'

Will Jaala be a lefty?  My dad would be so proud.

Do you see the resemblance?
Yummy in the Tummy!
Love this one!  A ray of sunshine!

One of THOSE days.

Today, Matthew's glasses got ran over.

and

Jaala choked not once, but twice, from a pickle.

Not to self:  Don't give Jaala pickles.

and

Always be careful with glasses.

I hope our day gets better.

Fall Update

rainy day!
New toy from Miss Dana
Matthew and I on our overnight stay
We painted 15 pictures...she loved it!
She loves collecting "stuff" and putting it in her purses!

Our Update:
  • Matthew started his fall semester, two classes, he will be looking for an internship to start spring/summer semester.
  • Matthew and I had a great time on our overnight stay in Winterpark, CO.  It was fun and romatic, just to be "us."
  • Jaala and I will be heading to Wisconsin, in October to see a friend, Dana Reed, my family, and hopefully my new nephew, James.  John and Sara are expecting November 1st!
  • We are going to Germany for Christmas, can you imagine how excited Matthew is, it has been FIVE years, since we have been back.
  • Jaala is SUPER spicy, and she always knows what she wants.  She has been testing boundaries, and I am learning everyday how to try to be the best mom to her.
  • Jaala is running in circles, reading lots of books, sometimes I spot her reading in her room, in her new reading corner.  Music seems to calm Jaala down lately, either her own or if I sing to her.  She also enjoys playing outside all the time!  Jaala graduated to the "walkers"  room at church and is loving the new teachers and toys!
  • I am looking for a part-time job, volunteering at the nursery at church, attend some Mom groups on and off campus, and I am also in a bible study on-campus.  Jaala and I also go to story time once a week, at the library.  She loves books!
